Designed for commercial premises with frequently open doorways the air barrier creates up to a 90% seal to stop the transfer of temperature, humidity, dust, odours and insects. With just a draught of unheated air creating the barrier, vehicles and pedestrians can pass without obstruction.
The Microshield's low energy, compact design makes it ideal for retail, warehousing, food production/storage, public buildings, schools, nurseries or the motor trade.
Units are available in 915mm, 1220mm, and 1830mm widths â multiple units can be positioned in-line for larger openings up to 2.1m high.
What is an air barrier?

With just a draught of air creating the barrier, vehicles and pedestrians can pass without obstruction.
Air Barrier v. Air Curtain?
Air barriers should not be confused with a heated warm air curtain, whose primary design objective is to provide warmth at an open doorway. Without a proper seal over an open door, your expensively heated or air-conditioned air, along with the warm blast from a typical heated air curtain is immediately conveyed to the outside. A typical 5kw air curtain, operating 8 hours per day, 5 days per week will consume in excess of Â£1,000 of electricity per annum. Under the same conditions an Enershield unit will consume Â£60 of electricity per annum.
