The Sentinel Kinetic BH is a compact wall, floor or 'over-the-hob' mounted MVHR unit with more features than most. Even on boost it's incredibly quiet and with a unique day/time programmer you can automatically switch it down at night for complete silence. The build quality of this UK manufactured MVHR is exceptional. In the three years we've never had a single fault reported.
Designed to fit in tight spaces or a kitchen wall unit the Kinetic is ideal for small to medium sized properties up to 150m2 floor area. The interchangeable top/side mounted spigots and reversible front/rear panels offer a level of install flexibility that makes it a very popular unit with DIY'ers and professionals alike.
Sentinel Kinetic features include:
Solarcrest design, supply, install (optional) & commission MVHR systems for self-builders & retrofitters around the UK. Independent from any one manufacturer we'll provide the ultimate hybrid system that's super quiet, efficient & effective.
The efficiency of the Vent-Axia Sentinel Kinetic range has been independently verified by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). All units offer between 87% and 92% heat recovery and are listed in the SAP Appendix Q database. The Sentinel Kinetic units are ideal for new build properties required to meet CfSH level 3 or above.
All Sentinel Kinetic units are compliant under Part F & L of the 2010 Building Regulations.
The sentinel kinetic Compact has been specifically designed to fit within cupboards and limited spaces. Please check the installation manual for dimensions.
All Sentinel Kinetic units feature automatic frost protection. If the outdoor temperature drops below 0C the air intake is disabled and the unit serves as an 'extract only' system until the weather improves.
An automatic summer bypass is available for the Sentinel Kinetic Plus unit as a factory fitted optional extra or can be installed at a later date. If the outdoor air temperature exceeds the indoor air temperature the heat recovery function is automatically disabled. Under these conditions the unit provides fresh filtered air throughout the property to help reach a pre-set "Comfort Temperature". When the inside air temperature reaches the "Comfort Temperature" the summer bypass is deactivated.
The integral humidity sensor increases speed in proportion to relative humidity levels, saving energy and reducing noise. The sensor also reacts to small but rapid increases in humidity, even if the normal trigger threshold is not reached. This unique feature ensures adequate ventilation, even for the smallest wet-room. Night time relative humidity setback feature suppresses nuisance tripping as humidity gradually increases with falling temperature.
The Sentinel Kinetic models have 2 fully adjustable air flow speeds and a purge setting -maximum. On the front of the unit is a digital controller that can be used to pre-set the speeds to any required air flow within the performance range. These settings can be activated on the unit itself or via a wired/wireless remote. This allows for a simple and accurate commissioning in addition to user-friendly controls. Solarcrest provide a nationwide supply, installation and commissioning service with BPEC certified installers. We also provide commissioning only, required under 2010 regs, if you prefer to install the system yourself. In which case we can provide installation guidance by telephone and email. Don't forget, draughty trickle vents and airbricks will not be necessary with an MVHR.
Unlike many MVHR units the air filters in the Sentinel Kinetic range range only require an annual inspection and clean, normally with a vacuum cleaner. More frequent inspection post-building work is prudent as the filters are likely to pick up more dust than normal. The Sentinel Kinetic range has a unique filter design that can be easily removed from the front panel (even within restricated spaces) and can be upgraded to F5 pollen filters if you suffer from hay fever. Other than the filter inspection the MVHR is a fit and forget item. All Vent-Axia units come with a 5 year warranty for added peace of mind
Solarcrest will assess your floor plans and ventilation requirements in order to recommend the most appropriate MVHR system. We'll then provide accurate budget costs for the supply, installation and/or commissioning of the system to current building regs. Subject to an initial deposit we release our proposed ducting design and air flow specification for consideration by your building inspector. Subject to approval we can normally have the complete system on site within a week.
