The Tempra/SELV is a single room wall mounted dMVHR suitable for wetrooms with a floor area upto 30sqm.
Designed to be a low carbon replacement or alternative to traditional intermittent extract fan with the benefits of recovering heat from the extracted air. The Tempra features include:

The "Safety Extra Low Voltage" model of the Tempra unit runs on a 24 Volt currency instead of the standard 220v-240v. This is ideal for applications where the fan may get wet and become a health and safety hazzard. Unit is IPX4 rated.
The Tempra units are compliant under Part F & L of the 2010 Building Regulations. There are three means of mechanical ventilation specified in the Building Regulations: System 1, Intermittent Extract Fans, System 3, Continuous Mechanical Extract (MEV) and System 4, Continuous Mechanical Supply and Extract with Heat Recovery (MVHR). System 1; Instead of using a traditional intermittent extract fan, the Tempra, running on continuous setting may be used. This method has the advantage of reducing the overall background ventilation requirement by 2500mm and removing the need for background ventilation in the room in which the unit is sited. System 3; Using Tempra in conjunction with MEV/dMEV permits a reduction in the overall dwelling extract rate. This is particularly useful for extensions, loft conversions and refurbishments which might otherwise be difficult to ventilate.
The Tempra unit has adjustable trickle running speeds (6l/s or 9l/s) making it suitable for continous extract in kitchens, bathrooms, en-suites and utility areas. This means the developer requires only one fan type for any dwelling. The Tempra unit has boost speed (13l/s) for intermttent extract or for times of high hummidity.
A manual summer bypass is factory fitted to the Tempra unit. This is beneficial when the exterior air temperature exceeds the interior and would serve as a extract only, reducing the amount of warm air entering the dwelling. This is activated via a switch on the unit.
The integral humidity sensor detects if there is high levels of hummididty within the room, this then activates the units boost setting until the hummidity level decreases. This minimises energy use and noise.
Apart from removing odours, providing fresh air and recovering heat, this appliance extracts airborne impurities such as dust, dirt and grease. These gradually build up and detract from the efficiency and appearance of the appliance. To ensure peak performance, the heat exchanger should be cleaned as required in accordance with the instructions supplied. All Vent-Axia units come with a 5 year warranty for added peace of mind
The unique heat exhanger design allows the Tempra to be fiited in a 100mm diameter hole, allowing it to replace standard 100mm extract fans while giving all the benefits of heat recovery. Maximum wall thickness is 320mm.Can be installed with rigid or flexible duct and accesories for internal room application. Please check the installation manual for dimensions.Solarcrest provide a nationwide supply, installation and commissioning service with BPEC certified installers. We also provide commissioning only, required under 2010 regs, if you prefer to install the system yourself. In which case we can provide installation guidance by telephone and email.
Solarcrest will assess your floor plans and ventilation requirements in order to recommend the most appropriate MVHR system. We'll then provide accurate budget costs for the supply, installation and/or commissioning of the system to current building regs. Subject to an initial deposit we release our proposed ducting design and air flow specification for consideration by your building inspector. Subject to approval we can normally have the complete system on site within a week.
If you need any further help or advise with your MVHR purchase please don't hesitate to call 0845 833 0388 or email
