There is no resource more precious than water. It is perhaps the most misunderstood, misallocated, misused and wasted asset we have. As we abuse this dwindling resource, we risk our safe drinking water, natural ecosystems and our ability to produce food. Treating, pumping and heating water is also a major contributor to the UK's greenhouse gas emissions, with water heating alone accounting for one fifth.
Most of the water we consume is used for washing, showering and flushing toilets. Typically around 150 litres per day per person. While Government aim to reduce this by 20 litres, far greater savings are possible thanks to simple, cost effective water saving devices.
